Saw a huge drop in callbacks after switching to a video inspection report
For years I just sent photos, but last month I started using a cheap borescope to record a quick walkthrough. My callback rate for 'needs more cleaning' went from about 1 in 10 jobs to zero in 30 days. Do you think showing the full video builds more trust, or does it just give picky clients more to nitpick?

Honestly, could it be that the video just leaves less room for doubt? Photos can be angled to hide things, but a full walkthrough shows everything. It probably builds trust with reasonable clients and scares off the super picky ones before they even book.

Scares off the picky ones" is exactly right. It's a filter. The person who gets mad about a single leaf on a patio sees your video and just moves on. They want to find problems, and you just showed them there aren't any big ones to fight over. You save yourself the 45 minute phone call after the job arguing about a dust bunny. They weed themselves out.

You said it scares off the picky ones, but I see it differently. The video doesn't scare them off, it just makes the job clear from the start. They see the real condition and can't later claim you missed a spot you didn't film. It sets a fair standard for what 'clean' means. That's why your callbacks dropped, not because you lost clients, but because you stopped the arguments before they could start.
