Just realized my creosote removal time got cut in half after switching to a new brush style

Used to take me a full hour to do a standard flue in a two-story home. That was with a standard poly brush. Switched to a steel wire whip-style brush about three months ago. Now the same job takes 30 minutes flat. The flex in the whip head seems to get into the corners better on those old clay liners. Anyone else seen a big time save from changing up their main brush type?

Used to think steel was overkill, but that time save is real.

Man, I'm over here still using the old poly brush like a sucker. No wonder my last clean felt like it took a whole weekend. Guess I need to get with the times.

Wait, you were spending a full hour on a two-story flue? That's wild to me. I guess @jennys72 is right about steel being better, but I can't get over that starting time. My old poly brush never took that long, maybe 45 minutes tops. A half-hour save is huge though.
