Hot take: People in my town keep calling for a sweep after they've already had a fire.
Had three calls this month from folks who lit the fireplace first, then realized the flue was clogged. It's a $200 service call that could've been a $80 inspection. Anyone else seeing this pattern lately?

My cousin in Bellingham did this last Thanksgiving. They had a house full of guests when smoke started pouring into the living room. The emergency chimney guy found a huge bird's nest blocking everything.

Ugh, yes! My neighbor did the exact same thing last week. Paid the emergency fee because they didn't check first.
