I was running a wire brush on everything for about 4 months because it felt like it scraped harder, then a retired sweep in Boise watched me pull a flue and said 'you're polishing that glaze, not cutting it.' I switched to a poly brush on a drill for stage 3 creosote and pulled out chunks I had been glazing over on the same flue type. What brush setup are you all running for heavy glaze, or do you just hand scrape and hope for the best?
