Tried a new way to hold my knife for julienning carrots last week and it actually saved my wrist.

The pinch grip changed everything for me, too. My thumb and forefinger go right on the blade's spine.

Thought it was weird until @the_ray explained it.

My friend tried that grip and finally stopped dropping her knife!
