Appreciation post: those silicone pastry mats that mark the circles for pie dough

I got one last month at a kitchen supply store in Portland, and it's a game changer. Rolling out a perfect 12-inch circle every time without guessing? I've wasted so much dough before. Anyone else use these or just stick to parchment?

Got a buddy who swears by those mats after he tried to roll out a pie crust on a flimsy cutting board and it slid right off the counter. He told me the silicone circles saved him from having to scrape dough off the floor mid bake. Now he won't even touch a rolling pin without that mat underneath.

Also doubles as a decent nonstick surface for kneading sticky dough too.
