Unpopular opinion: the Taco Bell $5 Cravings Box is overhyped

I kept seeing everyone rave about it but after 3 tries, I realized the quesadilla is always tiny and the taco shells are stale. My buddy told me to just get 2 Cheesy Bean and Rice Burritos instead for $3.40, and honestly that changed my whole cheap eat game. Anyone else find a better value hack they swear by?

My go to move at Taco Bell has been the $2 burrito combo with a cheesy bean and rice plus a beef burrito. I swap the beef for potatoes and it comes out to like $3.10 with a drink. The potato tacos are underrated too, you can get 2 of those for $2.40 and they actually stay crunchy longer than the regular ones. I tried that cravings box once and the quesadilla was a joke, barely any cheese in it.

Potato tacos are peak Taco Bell. The crunch factor is no joke. Most their stuff gets sad and soggy in like 5 minutes. Those potato ones hold up way better. That cravings box is a gamble every time. You're not wrong about the quesadilla, it's basically a tortilla with a cheese rumor.
