The gas station taquito that fought back

I stopped at a Shell station off I-85 near Atlanta last Tuesday around midnight because I was starving and everything else was closed. They had one of those hot food warmers with the rotating rollers, and I grabbed a couple of those 99 cent beef and cheese taquitos. First bite was fine, normal processed meat tube situation. Second bite I felt something weird, like a little crunch that was way too hard. Spit it out in my napkin and it was a piece of the plastic roller brush bristle, about half an inch long, embedded right in the filling. I mean I ate the first one without checking so who knows what was in there. I still go back to that station for gas but I think I'm done with their hot rollers for good. Has anyone else found mystery items in gas station roller food or is it just bad luck on my end?

Oh man, that is rough. I've had some questionable gas station roller food myself but never found a bristle in it. Your mileage may vary of course but I feel like those rotating hot dog cookers are a gamble every time. I once saw someone grab a taquito from one of those and a piece of the roller belt was just dangling off it. Might be worth sticking to the packaged snacks or the gas station coffee if you still stop there. Just my two cents.

I see it the other way, the roller food adds to the whole gas station experience.

Wait, did you check the other taquito you already ate before you found the bristle? I would be losing my mind wondering if I swallowed a piece of that brush and had no idea. How long did you even stand there stressing about it in the parking lot?
