Showerthought: The gas station breakfast burrito I swore was trash is actually fire

I always laughed at folks grabbing those pre-wrapped burritos from the roller grill at 7-Eleven on Route 9. Last week I was starving after a 6 AM shift and gave in for $2.49. First bite was meh but by the third I was hooked on the spicy egg and potato mix. Now I'm wondering if I was just being a snob or if they actually upped their recipe recently. Anyone else change their mind on a cheap spot after giving it a second shot?

You know, I used to turn my nose up at gas station food like I was some kinda Michelin star critic or something, and now I'm the fool eating a burrito in the parking lot at 5 AM with hot sauce on my chin. It's funny how hunger strips away all that fake food snobbery real quick, especially when you're too tired to care. Now I'm just embarrassed for my past self who missed out on all those cheap, glorious breakfast moments.

Started judging less and trying more lately. It's wild how we build up these mental walls against certain foods or places just because someone said they were bad or we had one bad experience years ago. I used to trash the burritos at my local bodega until I realized they're actually perfect for that specific hungry moment when nothing else will do. Same with gas station coffee honestly, sometimes a styrofoam cup of black coffee hits different than the fancy stuff.
