Just realized my go-to taco truck raised everything by a dollar fifty

Went to El Paisa on 5th Street yesterday like I have for the last three years. Handed over a ten for my usual two carnitas tacos and a horchata like always. The guy just stared at me and said it's $9.75 now. That's almost my entire lunch budget gone on one meal from a truck that used to be my safety net. Has anyone else had their cheap spot quietly price itself out of the under ten club?

Did I miss the memo where we're all supposed to start a side hustle just to afford lunch? I feel like my broke self is now just subsidizing someone's retirement with every taco I buy. Last week I had to decide between getting extra salsa or saving for my bus fare home. The salsa won but I looked real dumb walking.

Pretty soon they'll be asking if you want to add guac for an extra kidney. Sounds like El Paisa joined the inflation party right along with the rest of us. At this rate my cheap spot is gonna need a spotter for my wallet.
