Appreciation post: hit my 50th frozen burrito from the same 7-Eleven near downtown Portland
I counted 49 breakfast, bean and green chili burritos over two years, and the $2.79 price never changed once, has anyone else found a gas station item that stayed cheap that long without a price hike?

50 burritos in two years is a lot of processed food, not something to celebrate.

...actually I used to side with jade on stuff like this but you kinda changed my mind. I'd always see people posting about eating the same thing over and over and be like "gross, have some variety" but honestly that 2.79 price staying steady through two years of inflation is almost unheard of. My go-to gas station snack used to be those little bags of peanuts and they went from a dollar to a dollar fifty in like six months. Fifty burritos without a price hike is like finding a unicorn in Portland... maybe I should start tracking my own cheap eats more carefully.

@wendy_jackson you're spot on - cheap stuff that STAYS cheap is like finding a honest politician these days.
