My grandma watched me make rice in a $15 pot and asked why I quit using the old dented one
She came by my apartment in Boise on Sunday and saw me cooking rice in this little nonstick pot I grabbed at Walmart for $15, and she just shook her head and asked why I ever stopped using the old dented aluminum one she handed down years ago. I told her the nonstick was easier to clean and she said the dented one made better rice because it was thin and heated fast, so I tried it Monday and she was right, the cheap old thing cooked it perfect in 12 minutes. Does anyone else still hang on to beat up pots and pans because the new stuff just does not cook the same?
