Thought a yard sign would be quick, 3 weekends gone and I'm still not done
I figured a simple 2 foot by 3 foot yard sign for my neighbor's retirement party would take one afternoon. Three weekends later, the wooden letters I ordered online came with the wrong font size, so I had to sand and repaint each one by hand in my garage in Fort Wayne. Then the weather turned rainy on Saturday and the polyurethane I used bubbled up, which meant starting over on two letters entirely. What should have been a weekend project has now cost me close to 70 dollars in materials and a whole lot of patience. Has anyone else had a supposedly simple DIY sign turn into a multi-week mess, or do I just have bad luck with craft supplies?
Ordered a custom cake topper for my sister's baby shower once and it showed up with the wrong name spelled on it. Took two weeks to get a replacement and I ended up just printing one at Walgreens the night before. Craft stuff online is such a gamble lol.
