Spent $120 on a 'premium' hose nozzle and it's garbage

I bought this brass 7-pattern nozzle from a company called Dramm last spring, figuring it'd last forever. First drop off the tailgate and the rotating ring cracked, now it leaks like crazy. My $8 plastic nozzle from Home Depot held up for three seasons before it gave out. Anyone else find that paying more for garden tools just means you get madder when they break?

Wait, you changed my mind with this - I always thought spending more on brass stuff meant you were set for life. But that Dramm nozzle sounds like a total ripoff for $120. I almost bought one last week too.

Read something the other day where a guy tested a bunch of those premium nozzles and found most of them failed within a year of regular use. Brass is heavier so it hits the ground harder when you drop it, that's probably what did yours in. The cheap plastic ones are just more forgiving for how most people actually treat their garden gear.
