I used to think digital planners were a waste of money, but after 14 months of missing appointments I broke down and tried one
Bought a $9 template off Etsy on a whim and now I actually check my schedule daily instead of just saying I will. Has anyone else found a random cheap fix that forced them to change a bad habit?

Did you try paying for a fancy app first like I did and still ignore it?

Oh man, @stella_murray I did the exact same thing. Spent like 40 bucks on one of those popular habit trackers and used it for maybe a week before it turned into a digital paperweight. The guilt of wasting money just made me avoid the whole idea even more. Now I just use the notes app on my phone for a short daily list, and somehow that sticks better than any fancy app ever did. What finally got you to actually use a system?

Oh man, @garcia.laura you hit on something really important there. It's wild how the cheap or simple fixes often work better than the expensive ones. I think part of it is that when you spend less, you don't feel as pressured to make it perfect, so you just start using it however it fits. That's exactly what happened with me and a free habit tracker app I found. I was trying to be all organized with a complicated system, then I switched to literally just a checklist with five boxes, and now I actually do my morning routine. It's like the simpler the tool, the less mental energy it takes to actually use it. Funny how that works, right?
