I think hiding veggies in kids' food is sneaky and teaches them nothing
Last Thursday I watched my sister blend a whole zucchini into her 6 year old's spaghetti sauce and tell him it was just "extra tomato," and he ate it without a clue. I get the goal, kids need nutrients, but I keep thinking about the day he finds out, because my cousin did this with my niece for years and now she picks apart every meal looking for lies. Feeding a kid is hard, I work nights and half the time I'm reheating leftovers at 3am, so I'm not judging the effort, just the method. Wouldn't it be better to serve the zucchini on the side and let him say no 15 times until he tries it? Has anyone here raised a kid who actually eats vegetables they can see and name?
