I quit buying pre-sliced cheese and my sandwiches got way better, but my wife thinks I'm wasting time
About 3 weeks ago I started buying block cheese and slicing it myself with a cheap wire cutter I got for $8 at a restaurant supply store in Boise. The slices melt smoother and taste sharper, and I'm saving around $2.50 per block compared to the sliced packs. Am I fooling myself here or has anyone else noticed the pre-sliced stuff just tastes flatter?
