Can we talk about how meal prep Sunday turned into a waste of time for me?
I spent 5 hours every Sunday for 6 months cooking all my lunches for the week. By Wednesday the chicken was dry and the veggies were mush. I thought I was saving money but I threw out about $40 worth of food each week. Then I tried just prepping ingredients instead of full meals. Chopped veggies, cooked proteins, and sauces all separate. Now I mix them fresh each morning in about 10 minutes. Has anyone else switched to ingredient prep and seen better results?

Oh man, the "mushy veggies and dry chicken" thing hit home. My buddy tried the same full-meal prep thing and said his Wednesday lunches tasted like a sad science experiment.

Wednesday lunch? He made it to Wednesday? I would have cracked by Tuesday and just eaten a block of cheese standing over the sink. My own attempt at prepping a full week ended on day two when my "meals" turned into Tupperware full of beige mush that tasted like regret. I honestly don't know how people eat the same exact thing five days in a row without their soul leaving their body.
