Hot take: Gazpacho is just liquid salsa and I can't eat it with a spoon anymore
Had a jar of salsa left over from taco night last Tuesday and got curious. Warmed it slightly, added a little water, and honestly it was basically gazpacho. Since then I've been experimenting with blending cold soups and I think the whole debate about cereal vs soup misses the real question. Is gazpacho actually a dressing for croutons the way milk is for cereal? I tried dipping tortilla chips into cold tomato soup and now regular gazpacho feels wrong. Anyone else ever cross this line and ruin a classic cold soup for yourself?
The one time I tried to get fancy with gazpacho I dumped a whole cucumber in the blender and ended up with what tasted like a smoothie that hated me. My roommate watched me strain it through a coffee filter at 11pm and just walked away shaking his head. So for me, gazpacho will always be that sad green sludge I pretended to enjoy at a dinner party. Your salsa shortcut sounds way less tragic. Dipping chips straight into cold tomato soup is honestly just you skipping the middle man, and I respect it. Just don't tell a Spanish grandma, she might chase you with a wooden spoon.
