Warning: That fancy carpet kicker I bought took 3 hours to adjust properly

I spent way too long fighting with the tension spring because the manual was useless, ended up dialing it in by trial and error on a scrap piece. Has anyone else had a new tool take way longer to set up than you expected?

Holy cow, THREE HOURS? Man, I would have chucked that thing out the window after 45 minutes tops. That tension spring sounds like a nightmare, I've been there with a cheap angle grinder that took forever to get the guard lined up right. My manual was just pictures with arrows pointing nowhere, so I feel your pain on that trial and error approach.
