Tore up a customer's baseboard trim in Plano and the guy just laughed
I was on a living room rip-out in Plano on Tuesday. Old shag carpet with tack strips that were nailed in like they got paid by the nail. My pry bar slipped on the last strip and gouged a 3 foot line straight through the painted baseboard. I froze, waiting for the guy to blow up. He looks at it, shrugs, and says 'my kid did worse with a tricycle last week, don't sweat it'. Still, I offered to fix it with wood filler, but he waved me off. Weirdest part is the carpet itself went down perfect, no wrinkles, no seams visible. Now I can't stop thinking about how lucky that was. Anyone else had a customer take a screwup way better than you expected?

Ha, that's a unicorn customer right there. Most folks would've had you sanding and painting for an hour over a scratch half that size.
