Thinking back to that awful wrinkle in a plush carpet
About fifteen years ago, I rushed a job and didn't let the carpet acclimate to the room's humidity. A few days after install, a huge wrinkle formed right down the middle of the living room. I had to pull it all up and start over, losing a full day's work. These days, I always check the moisture levels first, something we didn't stress back then.

Right? It was the absolute bare minimum where I learned. Saw a crew try to skip it once to save an hour, and they had to tear out a whole wall two months later. Guess some places just love making expensive mistakes.
