The day my power stretcher decided to quit mid-job

I was working on a big living room in a split-level house in Springfield last Tuesday and right as I was tensioning the last seam, my power stretcher just snapped right at the pivot point (like a cheap toy). I had to finish the whole room using just a knee kicker and a lot of swearing, which took about 3 hours longer than planned. Does anyone have a recommendation for a power stretcher that won't break after 2 years?

Blew out a knee kicker last spring on a Friday at 5pm, felt that pain.

Actually @rowan_roberts49 a knee kicker is for carpet, you're probably talking about a knee pad or something for hardwood.

Man, that's rough. I swear tools know when to break on you, its like a universal law. I've noticed that everything from lawnmowers to my old car's transmission will perfectly fail at the absolute worst possible moment, like they have a built-in sensor for your stress level. It must be some kind of cosmic joke that the stuff you need most always gives out right at the finish line.
