Serious question, did you know carpet used to be sold by the yard, not the foot?

Found that in a 1970s trade catalog my uncle gave me, says a standard roll was 12 feet by however many yards you needed. When did that switch happen for you guys?

Everything's just getting smaller and more expensive now.

Switched to buying store brand cereal and it's basically the same. Started getting my coffee beans in bulk from the local roaster, saves a few bucks a bag. Even cut my own hair last month with some clippers... turned out okay. You just find little ways to make it work.
