I wasted an hour on a job in Springfield yesterday because I didn't spot all the old staples from the previous pad. They'll tear your knee kicker pads and can cause a nasty pop later. What's your best method for a quick sweep to find them all?

Honestly, my method is just to walk around barefoot until I find them the hard way. I swear I could stare right at a stray pin and not see it, but my feet have a perfect detection system. It's not a smart strategy, just a painful one. I really should get a magnet.

Ugh, been there. I run my hand over the whole floor in both directions, you feel the little pricks you'd miss just looking. Then a quick pass with pliers.
