Overheard a homeowner in Phoenix say 'carpet is just carpet' and it made me want to explain the whole job.

I read that a guy from Phoenix found out the hard way when his seam split right down the middle of his hallway after six months. The installer didn't stretch it tight enough and used cheap tape that peeled up. Carpet might look the same on a roll, but how it's put down makes all the difference. Bad seams and loose edges are a dead giveaway.
