My dad said to never trust a seam on a hot day without extra glue
He worked in Florida for thirty years and swore the heat would make seams pop. I ignored him on a job last July in Atlanta, it was over 95 degrees in the house. Sure enough, I got a callback two days later because a seam opened up. Anyone have a specific glue they lean on for summer installs?

Guess I should have listened to my dad too, but I'm stubborn.

Yeah my dad told me the same stuff and I just rolled my eyes, classic move.

My stubborn streak cost me a few years, for sure. I started writing down the older advice I got and actually tried it later. It turns out some of it was pretty solid once I gave it a real chance.
