Just realized nobody knows how to stretch seams anymore

I swear every younger installer I see now just butts seams together without any stretch. My boss back in 1995 would have made us redo that on the spot. When did skipping a power stretcher become the standard?

Used a 12 foot stretch on a conference room yesterday, still tight as a drum.

nah disagree with you here @margaret304, a 12 foot stretch sounds like overkill unless you're trying to hang sheetrock or something. conference rooms usually have lower ceilings so you gotta factor in the sag, not just the tightness.
