Glue-down over padding, I was wrong about it

Fought a customer in Cleveland for an hour about stretch-in over their old pad. He showed me his 15 year old glue-down job with zero wrinkles, so I tried it on my next house. Has anyone else switched methods after a homeowner schooled them?

Hell yeah, this hits home. I fought a guy in Columbus for years about tack-strip, then his 20 year old glue job over foam looked brand new. Now I do glue-down over thin pad on most of my houses, saves time and the floor feels solid underfoot.
