Finally caved and bought a $300 knee kicker after years of renting
It paid for itself in two months just on the rental fees I saved for a big apartment complex job. The control is way better than the shop's beat-up ones, honestly. Anyone have a brand they swear by for the actual stretcher head?

My old boss swore by Roberts heads, but they're getting hard to find. What's your go-to for the tricky corners?

Man, I hear you on the Roberts heads. It's a real pain when a solid tool just vanishes. For tight inside corners, I've been grinding down cheap flat heads to a sharper angle. Takes a minute with a bench grinder, but it gets in there. Sometimes a fresh utility blade scores the line first if the drywall's being stubborn.

My grandpa's old wood shop had a whole drawer of weird hand tools you just can't replace. It's like that with a lot of stuff now. You find a brand that works perfect, then the company changes hands or stops making it. I saw it with a specific type of pencil lead my drafting teacher used, and now with these sanding heads. You end up learning to modify what you can actually buy, which is a skill in itself lol.
