Unpopular opinion: I used to scoff at marking my tape measure with a pencil, but a $500 redo on a custom cabinet in Boise changed my tune.
Now I put a tiny dash at every key measurement before I cut, because my eyes aren't what they were twenty years ago. Anyone else have a simple habit that saves your bacon?

Ever try the painter's tape trick? I write the measurement right on the tape now.
