Spent $400 on a Festool track saw and it burned me bad
Bought a Festool TS 55 track saw off a guy on Craigslist in Portland last spring... looked clean but the blade guard was jammed and I didn't check. First cut on a maple countertop and it kicked back so hard I nearly lost a finger. Has anyone dealt with a faulty guard on these or am I just unlucky?

Man that's rough... the jammed guard is a known issue on some of the older TS 55s, the spring mechanism gets gunked up and then it sticks. I'd try spraying some dry lube in there and working it back and forth a bunch of times before you give up on it completely.
