Spent $150 on a fancy set of chisels that just wouldn't hold an edge worth a damn

Bought a set from a brand I saw all over Instagram, three chisels in and the steel felt like butter after a single door job. Anyone else get burned by fancy tool brands that look good but can't take a real beating?

Hold up, $150 is barely entry level for decent chisels. You gotta spend at least $60 per chisel for stuff that actually holds up on a door job.

$60 per chisel? For hanging doors? Might as well just buy a new car every time you need to change a tire. I mean my grandpa hung doors with a rusty screwdriver and a hammer, so maybe I'm just not fancy enough.
