Same drawer slides, but my plywood prep time got cut in half overnight
I switched from marking each board side with a pencil to a quick chalk line snap across the whole sheet before ripping, and within one morning at my Columbus shop I noticed the before and after in how many drawer boxes I could bang out, so what's your go-to method for keeping cuts square when you're rushing?
Wait, you guys are still marking boards with a pencil? Chalk line snap on the full sheet is the move and once you get fast at it you never go back. The trick is to clamp a straight edge down and snap once so both rip cuts share the same line, way less drift than marking each piece by hand. I also check my blade to the fence every few sheets because a tiny bit of drift adds up fast when you are rushing. And keep a framing square right on the bench so you can spot check a box before you glue it up, saves you from building a whole stack that is out of whack. Half the battle is setup, not speed.
