Pro tip: Don't cheap out on the new 'quick-set' construction adhesive for load-bearing framing

Learned that lesson the hard way with a set of garage shelves that decided to become modern art overnight. Now it's just the standard PL Premium for anything that needs to hold weight. That stuff could probably glue two trucks together. The quick-set stuff seems okay for trim, but I wouldn't trust it with anything real.

Ever see what happens when someone uses that quick grab stuff on a deck bench? My buddy tried it last summer and the whole thing just peeled off the wall like a sticker after a week. Totally agree with you @kelly_nelson95, that PL Premium is a whole different animal. He had to chip it off and redo it right, and now he won't touch anything but the standard stuff for real jobs. Watching that bench fail was all the proof I needed.
