I just read that a 2023 survey found 60% of carpenters still prefer a manual miter saw for trim work, which shocked me after switching to a cordless model.

I found this stat in a trade magazine article and it makes me wonder if I'm missing out on the precision everyone talks about, so has anyone gone back to a manual saw after using powered ones?

Consider how much that cordless saw improves your workflow on a full day of installs. You get consistent cuts without fighting a cord and save a ton of time moving around. The speed and ease of a good battery model often beat the small precision gain some claim with manual saws.

Wait you're still using a corded saw for installs? That sounds like a nightmare lol. I tried helping my cousin with a flooring job once and the cord kept getting tangled around everything. Battery tools are a total game changer, I can't imagine going back.

But what about the power drop on battery saws when you're cutting all day? My buddy's cordless model slows down noticeably after a few hours of heavy use. That consistency claim feels a bit shaky if the tool can't keep up.
