Warning: got ghosted by a recruiter after 4 rounds of interviews last week

I went through 4 rounds with a company called NexTech Solutions over 3 weeks, then the recruiter just stopped answering my emails and calls. No rejection, no feedback, nothing. I even followed up twice politely. Has anyone else had a recruiter vanish like that after putting in serious time?

Hang on, four rounds in three weeks is a lot. Are you sure the recruiter actually ghosted you though, or did they just go silent because the hiring manager decided to go with an internal candidate at the last second? I've seen that happen where the recruiter doesn't even get told, they just get left hanging too. It's still rude, but it might not be the recruiter's fault entirely.

That's a really good point I hadn't thought of. Recruiters can totally get left in the dark when the hiring manager pulls a last minute switch, so it might not be personal at all. Have you ever had a recruiter come back to you months later after something like that happened?
