Threw $300 down the drain on a fake career coaching program
I signed up for a 6-week online career coaching course from a lady I found on Instagram, paid $300 upfront. She kept rescheduling calls and the materials were just generic PDFs I could've found on Google for free. After week 3 she went silent and I couldn't get my money back. Has anyone else fallen for one of these flashy programs and lost cash?

Wait, you mean handing $300 to an Instagram stranger wasn't a guaranteed ticket to career greatness? Sucks you got ghosted though, but at least you can repurpose those PDFs as kindling for your next bonfire.

Hey @rowan725, totally get the frustration. Getting ghosted like that stings. What actually helped me was joining a local business meetup group instead, way more real advice and connections there for way less money.

Oh man that idea about local meetups is solid. I've seen some people grab coffee with folks from their industry on a regular basis and it turned into way better referrals than any paid program could offer. Its the real human connection that actually gets you places, not some generic PDF that screams "I googled this last night".
