The 30-minute reply rule fixed my interview nerves
I kept freezing up in interviews, so I started writing down every question they asked and practicing my answers out loud for 30 minutes right before. It sounds small, but after 6 tries in Austin, that routine got me an offer. Has anyone else tried a timed prep trick that worked better than mock interviews?

and the timing thing is HUGE. I did something similar before my last round of calls but instead of 30 minutes I did 20 with a timer on my phone, just rapid fire answers to the five questions I was SCARED of most. The key was forcing myself to speak out loud, not just think about it. My voice would crack on the first run through, but by the fourth or fifth attempt I sounded like a person who actually knew what they were talking about instead of a deer in headlights. Mock interviews always felt fake to me because the other person is watching you, but the timer trick made it feel like I was just warming up for a game, you know? It got me through a panel interview where I would have normally choked on the second question.
