That old voicemail trick still gets me callbacks in 2024
Back in 2008 I was cold calling construction firms in Akron and getting nowhere. Then a sales guy I barely knew told me to leave a voicemail that just says your name, number, and a 10 second reason you call. No pitch, no follow up spiel. I tried it on a Tuesday and by Friday two project managers called me back asking what I wanted. It still works today for my consulting side gig. Anyone else find an old school move that never gets old?
