Overheard a manager at my old job in Dallas tell a new guy 'just act like you know what you're doing, they'll never know' and honestly, it kinda worked for him.

Read an article about that being a real thing in tech... they call it "fake it till you make it" for a reason.

Honestly I used to think you had to know everything before you started. But seeing that "fake it till you make it" thing work changed my mind. I watched a guy at my last job bluff his way through setting up a whole new software system. He just googled stuff as he went and asked smart questions. By the time it was done, he actually did know how to use it. Tbh sometimes you just have to start acting the part to learn it.
