Just realized my coworker's data cleanup routine saved me 10 hours a week

I work as an analyst in the Denver office, and for the last 3 months I had been drowning in messy spreadsheets. My coworker Lisa showed me her system of using filters and conditional formatting to spot errors before they pile up. Now I spend maybe 2 hours on cleanup instead of 12. Has anyone else found a quick daily habit that cuts down your busywork this much?

Add a timestamp column to your sheets so you can sort by when things were last checked.

Oh wow, that's actually genius! A friend of mine was complaining about her team constantly forgetting to update project statuses until someone yelled about it. She added a timestamp column and color coded it green if checked within 24 hours, yellow for 48, red for anything older. @lunakim, seriously thank you for posting this, she's already seen a huge drop in overdue tasks. It's wild how something so simple can change the whole workflow.
