Just realized I was formatting my resume completely backwards for 4 years
I used to just list my job duties under each role. Like 'managed social media accounts' and 'answered customer emails.' After I got passed over for 3 interviews last spring, a friend in HR showed me her screen. She said recruiters spend like 6 seconds scanning. Now I lead every bullet with a number or result. Like 'increased engagement 40% in 3 months.' Got 2 callbacks the next week. Has anyone else switched up their resume format and seen a big difference?

Isn't that kind of overthinking a simple resume tweak though?

My buddy at a staffing agency told me they literally have a checkbox on their screening form that says "numbers or results in first two bullets." If you don't have it, your resume goes in the no pile automatically. I changed mine to say "cut response time from 24 hours to 4 hours" and suddenly had three interviews in two weeks. The old duty-based format is basically just a participation trophy now.

100%. The checkbox thing is real, I've heard the same from recruiters. Numbers or you're out, plain and simple.
