Had a talk with a recruiter last week that made me re-think how I write my resume

She told me most managers spend under 10 seconds scanning your first bullet point, and if it's not packed with specific numbers like "cut costs by 15%" instead of "saved money", you're basically getting skipped every time - has anyone else found a good template for listing hard results like that?

Preach. I had a mentor tell me the same thing a few years back and it totally changed how I write mine. Started putting hard numbers in every bullet point and suddenly I was getting way more callbacks, it's like night and day.

Did you have to tweak how you phrased things too, or was it literally just throwing numbers at the same points and it worked?
