Got 61 job rejections in 4 months, then I finally stopped counting

I started keeping a spreadsheet after my old company in Cincinnati had layoffs and I wanted proof I was actually trying. Somewhere around rejection 61, I noticed the same recruiter had emailed me 3 times about the same job posting, which made me laugh for the first time in a while. Has anyone else tracked their rejections and did seeing the number make it better or way worse?

Stopped counting, started applying to smaller companies. Way less brutal.
