Found a study about burnout in firefighting that stopped me cold

I was looking up training materials last week and stumbled on a report saying over 60% of firefighters leave the job within 10 years due to mental health issues. That number really hit me because I've seen it happen to good people I worked with. It made me wonder if other careers have similar hidden dropout rates that nobody talks about. Has anyone else found a surprising statistic about their own field that changed how you think about your job?

Damn, that hit hard. I've watched too many good people burn out and disappear.

nah you're right to an extent, but some people bounce back too. they just need a break before they come back different.
