Wish someone had warned me sooner about patching a bumper crack with epoxy on a 2016 Civic
I used to slap epoxy putty on every cracked bumper cover I saw, figured saving a customer $400 on a replacement was a win. Last month a guy brought back his 2016 Civic after 6 weeks, and the repair had spider-webbed worse than the original crack because I skipped the flex additive. Now I drill a stop hole at each end of the crack first and use a flexible filler, and it holds way better. Anyone else get burned before they started prepping cracks right?
