Unpopular opinion: that $18 junkyard alternator outlasted the $140 reman one
Everyone told me never to pull electrical parts from a pick and pull, but I grabbed an alternator off a wrecked 2006 Corolla at a yard in Akron for $18 with a 90 day warranty. It's been 14,000 miles and the reman unit I paid $140 for died at 8,000. Has anyone else had better luck with OEM junkyard parts than rebuilt ones?
