That $300 'low mileage' transmission flush was a scam

Paid a shop in Phoenix to flush my 2012 Civic at 60k because the manual said so... turns out the fluid was fine and the flush stirred up sludge that killed the solenoid 3 weeks later. Cost me another $450 to fix what wasn't broken. Anyone else get talked into preventive maintenance that backfired?
