Rant: I replaced the cracked headlight housing on my 2006 Civic instead of junking the car, and the before and after at night is nuts
The passenger side housing had a spiderweb crack from a parking lot hit and run back in March, and water kept pooling inside it. For about four months I just dealt with one dim yellowish blob on that side and told myself it was fine. Last Saturday I finally grabbed a $52 replacement housing off RockAuto and swapped it in my driveway in about 40 minutes with a 10mm socket. The difference driving home that night was not subtle, both sides now throw the same bright white pattern and I can actually see the shoulder on my street. Has anyone else had a cracked housing go this long, or did you just swap it right away?
